Are you in the Atlanta area?
If you are close to Atlanta, Georgia, the best way to get a photorealistic drawing is for me to take your portrait and draw from one of those.
Portrait sessions usually last 1-2h, which means that there is enough time for some fun shots, and you'll have plenty of photos to choose from. I will suggest 15 of the photos for the drawing. You choose your favorite, and it is fine-tuned until I start drawing, and sends you occasional updates on how its going.
You will get:
- Fine portrait photographs in print and digital files
- The photorealistic drawing
- A timelapse showing your artwork coming into existence.
Anywhere else in the world? Already have a photograph?
You may already have a photograph that you would like to turn into artwork. If so, I'll be happy to take a look at it and see if it can be turned into a photorealistic drawing.
You can send a large jpg of the photograph to dietke@dietkefowler.com, along with an indication of the drawing size you are looking for and the technique you would prefer. I'll get back to you to discuss next steps.
If the photograph can be turned into photorealistic artwork, I will prepare an electronic proof that lets you see how the drawing would look like. After you are happy with the image, you officially place an order and drawing will begin.
